FAQs

  • Do I need leatherworking experience to teach this program?

No experience required! Our program is designed with educators in mind. With step-by-step, expert-led instructional videos and downloadable guides, anyone can confidently bring leathercraft to their classroom.

  • How many students does each kit serve?

Each Project-Based Kit includes materials for 5 students and one acrylic template. Additional kits can be purchased in bundles of 5.

  • What tools or supplies will I need to purchase?

We require the Basic Tools + Supply Kit for every classroom. This ensures students have access to the essential tools for success. Material kits are sold separately and include all leather (some even pre-cut) and hardware.

  • What types of projects will my students complete?

Projects include belts, wallets, earrings, key fobs, coasters, knife sheaths, and more—all beginner-friendly with practical, real-world application.

  • Is this program aligned with FFA, CTE, or SAE projects?

Yes! This program is designed to support Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects, team competitions, local fairs, and FFA pathways in Agribusiness and Ag Mechanics. Reach out and we'll talk about how.

  • Can students keep the projects they make?

Absolutely. Every student will create their own leather projects to take home, use, or even sell as part of entrepreneurial SAE projects.
